Prime Video has released the first trailer for the fourth season of The Boys (below).
The Emmy-nominated anti-superhero drama series revealed its first look at the CCXP fan convention in Brazil on Saturday.
The footage teases political chaos and a world being politically torn apart, much to the delight of Homelander (Anthony Starr).
The official description: “In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher (Karl Urban), with only months to live, has lost Becca’s (Shantel VanSanten) son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
Season four also features returning actors Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie and Cameron Crovetti. The new season also adds actors Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
The new season follows the successful launch of The Boys‘ college-set spin-off Gen V, which has been renewed for a second season.
The Boys returns to Prime Video sometime in 2024.
